A Proud Day for the Walling Campaign
This was the first time that the Hispanic Caucus has endorsed a candidate for mayor. "He's not just for one group of people, he's for all of the citizens of Flint," said Raul Garcia, Chairperson of the Genesee County Democratic Hispanic Caucus.
"I am proud to stand here today as a member of the Flint Black Council to offer our support and endorsement. This city is going in the wrong direction. Mr. Walling will right this ship," said Adel Johnson, Sr., member and representative of the Flint Black Council.
"This is a proud day for me on this campaign—to see people from all across this city—all colors, all ages, all walks of life coming together," said Dayne Walling. "We have been divided in too many ways. This is different. Together, as one city, as one people, we can solve our problems. There is power in working together. Together we can turn this city around."
