See Dayne's Roadmap to Opportunity Jobs Neighborhoods People

Walling Campaign Launch Event

Over sixty people attended the Walling campaign’s announcement party Monday afternoon at Flint’s YWCA. Dayne officially declared his candidacy for the office of Mayor of the City of Flint. Dayne also shared his vision for rebuilding Flint and discussed his Road Map to Opportunity. “I thought it went really well.” said Evelyn F. from Flint’s south end. “It was great to see so many nice people who are concerned about Flint come together; people want new ideas.”

The kickoff event is the first of many events the Walling campaign has planned for the upcoming weeks. Dayne will be talking with the people of Flint directly and listening to their ideas at a series of coffee talks in area restaurants. The announcement party also marked the launch of the Walling campaign’s website www.votewalling.com.

“It feels great to finally be excited about an upcoming election in Flint” said Amy S. from Flint’s east side. “I'm glad that I could make it today and that I had an opportunity to witness Dayne's enthusiasm and hear a bit more about his vision for our community.”

Invitation to Get Involved

My name will be on the ballot but this election is about the future of this city. This campaign has to be about more than winning the vote, we have to start winning in our neighborhoods against crime. We have to start winning in the global economy.

The work of bringing opportunity back to Flint is bigger than one person. It will require all of our voices being heard. It will take many hours, days, months, and even years of very hard work by many, many people all focused on common goals.

On the eve of my campaign announcement, I am asking you to get involved in my campaign.
Thanks, Dayne
