Incumbent Williamson Robbing Taxpayers to Campaign for Re-election

In the past week local news outlets ABC 12 and The Flint Journal have both reported on the most recent scandal involving current mayor Don Williamson. This time his scheme is to use his hand-picked officers to hand out phony campaign literature at the tax-payer’s expense. We need our police in our neighborhoods protecting our families. Anything less is unacceptable.

What has happened to Flint when citizens are afraid to sign a petition to allow someone else to run for mayor because they fear that their sewers won’t be fixed or their city permits will not be granted?

We will be prepared for dirty, unethical and illegal tricks such as this throughout the campaign. The future of Flint is on the line and we love Flint too much to surrender it. Dayne has the courage to lead Flint forward with integrity. In the Walling administration the dignity of all Flint's citizens will be protected on Election Day and every day. The police will be free to do their duty. The abuse of power will come to an end.

Dayne Walling is a Blue Tiger Democrat

By choosing the tiger as their symbol instead of the tired old donkey, Blue Tiger Democrats seek to redefine politics by restoring respect for the political process and reviving democratic organizations through civic engagement. Michigan is one of two states pioneering this redefinition of Democratic Party principles. The Blue Tiger's focus on civic engagement aligns perfectly with Dayne’s lifelong commitment to serving his community. Dayne and his wife Carrie hosted a pizza party fundraiser on Friday night at their home. Dayne’s sister Melissa and her husband Francis were visiting from Chicago and they invited many of their friends to attend. Turnout was great, lots of delicious Luigi’s pizza was eaten, and friends, family and volunteers had a chance to unwind after another busy week on the campaign trail. Dayne was in Flint’s 8th Ward this morning talking with the breakfast crowd at Golden Gate 2 Restaurant on Fenton Rd. for his weekly coffee talk. Dayne spoke with a local teacher and a mother with her young son--all of whom were concerned about the future of Flint. One gentleman said it best when he declared “Yeah, we need a good mayor!”

Voter-to-Voter Letters

Join us tonight for our regular volunteer activity night. Tonight we will be writing voter-to-voter letters urging our friends, friends, and neighbors to consider supporting Dayne in the August primary and November general elections. Below we’ve posted a letter written by a friend of Dayne’s from his days at Flint Central High School. Letters like this will help to spread the word about the Walling campaign and could make a big difference come election day.

Hello All,
This is my friend Dayne Walling, and he is running for Mayor of Flint. We became friends when we met in class at Whittier middle school, and remained friends throughout high school. We have kept in touch mostly via email and through Flint Club as the years have passed, the one constant has always been the immense respect and admiration I have for Dayne. I can tell you with the utmost certainty that he is an intelligent, honest, sincere, and hard working man. He is a man of character and possesses what I think Flint could really use right now; Heart.
Unfortunately I’m out here in Philly and can’t vote for the new mayor of Flint… but I can’t help but want the best for the town I grew up in and love- I believe Dayne is what Flint needs. A fresh perspective and approach, an optimistic and realistic leader who has experience in making things better and is prepared to do what it takes to make Flint great; I believe that is what Dayne has to offer. My mother still lives in Flint along with many of my friends and family; I hope for and want the best for all of them. That is why I took the time to send you this information about a man who I think can help Flint move forward and upward.
I have included his campaign information below; I encourage you to find out for yourselves what makes Dayne such a great person and candidate for Flint’s new mayor. I know some of you no longer live in Flint but I felt I should send this to you so you could forward it on (if you like) to any of your friends and family that are still in Flint. Thanks for your time and I wish you all the best!
Respectfully,
Kari
