Taking Care of Our Neighborhoods
Dayne has a plan to form Neighborhood Action Teams where city workers, neighborhood groups, block clubs, and concerned community members come together to create workable solutions to the problems plaguing their neighborhoods. This will flip the current top-down decision making process and empower neighbors to work together, while making all the departments of City Hall directly accountable to the people.

Great Start
The citizens of Flint already know what needs to be done to make their neighborhoods safer. The Neighborhood Action Teams will create a partnership between the people and City Hall to achieve real results. Combined with strategic police patrols that reduce crime and keep our schools, parks, businesses, and hospitals safe, our teams will take back the streets.
- Neighborhood Action Teams: Organize existing city workers into teams accountable for improving our community through collaboration among the departments and partners.
- Safe Streets: Deploy community police patrols to decrease crime in target areas and around schools, parks, hospitals, and businesses.
- Family Parks: Bring family, youth and cultural programs to parks with recreation facilities.
