FLINT, Michigan — A proposal to sell the Michigan School for the Deaf campus to a private investor and have new and renovated buildings leased to MSD and possibly to Powers Catholic High School was revealed in a meeting Tuesday evening.
MSD Superintendent David Sanderson presented the proposal to a crowd of parents in the school's cafeteria.
Lurvey White Ventures has been identified as the development company. The plan, which Sanderson said will be finalized by Sept. 17, would have to be passed by the state legislature before the sale would be completed and construction would begin.
