FLINT, Michigan — A group of area congregations is hosting a mayoral candidates forum at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 711 S. Saginaw St.
Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and mayoral candidate Darryl Buchanan will "outline their vision for the city regarding the many challenges and opportunities it faces," according to a news release from Flint Area Congregations Together (FACT).
Forum topics will include neighborhood revitalization/master planning, neighborhood safety, economic recovery and education reform.
The candidates will also be asked how they would work with other Genesee County communities on shared services.
The event is free and open to the public.
The mayoral election will be held Nov. 8.
